I learned a lesson. So I read the entire script. I picked the part I wanted. BUT I didn't realize that there were so many valuable resources on this web site. Such as the Directors Bio (hint hint). The journal, etc. I did look at the website and smile about the front page and get an idea of the humor of the writer/director. But I can say that If I had researched the whole production a bit more, such as the journal than I would have had more of the data i needed to walk in the audition and already know who everyone was.

So for all the rest of the actors that are in this industry because they have wanted to do this their whole lives and get such a high from filming and creating aesthetics. Research more!!! It makes a difference.

Franz - Plenty of great points. I don't remember that you totally screwed up. Actually I can't remember your audition. Jay has the head shots from that day. I have the video, but I only reviewed some of the people on it. It's 4 hours long and we saw 50 some people that day.

I'll get the shot from Jay on Tuesday, and look up your audition. If you want feedback, I'll give it, but be careful, I'm honest.

I think that it's time you gave Frantz feedback.

He never responded that he DID want feedback.

But look at it this was, that was WAY before the shoot and I think Frantz was going for Dr.Bob. Had I fed him back, and he ate it, then spit back a stellar performance to me, I might have never met the Great Dr. Bob we have today.

The wife and I were in bed a couple nights ago and Boom! Right there on screen was your mug in a Mortgage commercial. Woo Hoo! Way to go Bart!

I keep hearing that. I have yet to see the commercial and they haven't sent me a copy like they promised. Jeeze.

They shot it various ways -- breaking up the lines between the woman and myself. Hopefully they used one where I got some lines.

But anyway, that was just a non-union thing. I went SAG recently -- just wanted to guarantee that I never work again... :-)

They use a single on you and you do have lines. TiVo had caught it for us, but I erased it. If I catch it again, I'll drop it to VHS.

Thanks!

I actually got a call from the production company asking me to come in for another audition. Unfortunately my union status made that impossible, since they only do non-union stuff.

And I forgot to remind them to send me a copy.
